As we all know when travelling by plane, we are limited by the 100ml liquid regulation, squashing our dreams of filling out carry-ons with the most precious makeup essentials that we don’t want to arrive crushed from being thrown around in the baggage hold.
Who doesn’t love holidays and going on long haul flights to far away destinations? But it’s frustrating being limited on having only a few favourite products by your side.

To make your flight more comfortable, check out our Oh My Beaut Top 5 mini essentials guide when packing your carry-on:
Vaseline: Keep your lips moist, there’s nothing worse than that feeling like your lips are dry and dehydrated. It’s bad enough with dry eyes from the recycled air & your ears occasionally popping from air pressure, but having moist lips will definitely help you keep a natural looking shine and look glam all flight.
Hand cream: A good quality fragranced nourishing hand cream. Fragranced? I hear you ask…Planes are not exactly the most glamorous of places, from the plane food to the plane toilets, a lovely smelling hand cream can stop you from feeling nauseous when apply liberally to freshen up your seating area.
Concealer: On long flights, especially night or early journeys when you can spend most of the day travelling, the stress and anxiety or even excitement can really take its toll on your body, so be prepared to look a little weathered upon arrival your destination. A good concealer can freshen up your eye bags & face in a few swift strokes.
Powder Compact With Mirror: This is a 2 in 1…bonus! We all know how minute the plane toilets can be, especially when the turbulence hits, the slightest bump feels like the doors about to fly open. But thanks to your handy compact you can apply your vaseline, concealer and finish with some powder to look flawless when dismounting the plane.
Toothpaste: On long haul flights especially and having several snacks (well you are on holiday!) your teeth can start to feel like they have an extra layer. Halfway through the flight, after your meal, coffee, even with a fizzy drink or two, and you’re just desperate to arrive and fresh up! Irradicate this feeling using a small toothpaste and mini toothbrush. This is a super quick and easy way to feel refreshed when taking a bathroom break and makes such a difference!

OTHER ESSENTIALS:
Antibacterial handwash: Although drying on the bands, keep free of germs before you eat & if the toilet runs out of soap.
Tissues: Perfect for spillages, I’ve always found them super handy!
Face wipes: Freshen up your face and neck, it can make such a difference!
Super smoothie: Purchased in the Airport, keep your vitamins up and boost your immune system.
Earplugs: If you suffer from noise distractions but love the idea of catching some Zs, then don’t forget some earplugs.
Eye Mask: Perfect for blocking out unwanted light and resting your eyes, and you’ll arrive before you know it!
TicTacs, Chewing Gum or Mints: This helps with your ears popping from the air pressure and also gives you instant freshness.
Pen: For completing any visa forms if needed, or filling in crosswords for entertainment.
Earphones: For listening to music or a new audiobook (my personal favourite)
Sunglasses: So you can walk off the plane looking glamorous into the sunshine if you’re heading to a hot destination, of course.
