There’s talk all over the internet about increasing awareness of helping the environment, and little steps we can all make.
One huge step is using less plastic. The plastic ends up in landfills and takes 1000 years to degrade, and even worse, it’s poured into the ocean. 8 million metric tons of plastic end up in our oceans each year. This has a devastating effect on sea life. Certain plastics can take up to 450 years to decompose in the ocean and turns into microplastics, these are being consumed by fish and shellfish, which we could end up eating. Awful right? It feels like a never-ending cycle of pollution, but you ask yourself, how can I make a change?

One step in the right direction is to reduce plastic waste, even though shops now charge for plastic bags, many of us are still buying them, leading to the need to manufacture them. If customers used fabric bags instead for their weekly shop this would massively reduce plastic waste. Fabric is strong, reusable & much easier to recycle, plus if you’re handy with a needle & thread you can always patch up a tear, rather than throwing a plastic bag away that becomes ripped.
We have popped together a fantastic collection of tote bags, they are easily rolled up to keep in your handbag for spontaneous purchases (shoes, possibly shoes!) and are much better for the environment, they have fashionable statements, quotes & patterns! So treat yourself while helping the environment, I mean …it’s guilt-free shopping, right?
